July 1 / Lowell, MI / Englehardt Public Library, 200 N Monroe St /10 am – 1 pm
The Library is located on the Flat River in downtown Lowell and has ample parking and
restrooms. There's plenty of interesting subject matter along the river, including the Main
Street bridge and various original down town buildings. To get to Lowell from Grand
Rapids, drive east on Fulton Street for fifteen miles until you come to Lowell. Continue
straight as Fulton St becomes Main Street. After you cross the Flat River Bridge, take the
first left onto Monroe Street and drive about one block. Turn left into the Englehardt Library
parking lot.

The studio is open for all members to work independently. The Gallery is also open to the public. Please share with your friends and family to promote GVA.

July 8 / Waterfront Gilmore Park / 2205 Reeds Lake Blvd SE 49506 / 10 am – 1 pm /
Located just north of Collins Park on Reeds Lake in East Grand Rapids. There are plenty of
trees, bike paths, wetlands, and a floating dock that extends far out into Reeds Lake. Be
sure to check out the board walk overlook that runs alongside the creek that leads to Fisk
Lake. There's always free parking across the street on Reeds Lake Blvd and public
restrooms are nearby.

  July 15 / Fallasburg Park / 1124 Fallasburg Park Drive NE, Lowell, MI 49331 / 10 am –1 pm / As you enter Fallasburg Park from Lincoln Lake Ave, follow the signs which willlead you to the historic covered bridge, which is a good place to meet and decide justwhere you'd like to paint. There are some interesting views just over the covered bridge inthe historic village of Fallasburg, founded in the 1830s by John Wesley Fallas. Severaloriginal buildings are still standing and make interesting subjects. Fallasburg Park is massivewith lots of shade trees and views of the Flat River. You're bound to find a compositionsomewhere. Restrooms are available throughout the park.

focusing zoom, a tripod, and cable release for your camera.

Only $5 to defray costs for renting the GVA studio.

  July 22 / John Ball Park / 1300 West Fulton / 10 am – 1 pm / John Ball is a large parkwith interesting subject matter like a duck pond with plenty of ducks and geese, historicbuildings, great trees, a band shell and houses surrounding the park. Let's plan on meetingin the parking lot next to the duck pond. Rest rooms are available in the park. Directions tothe parking lot: Drive west on Fulton; when you get to the intersection of Fulton & Valleycontinue west on Fulton for another two blocks, then turn left into the John Ball Parkparking lot.
