October – Autumn with an Edge

Autumn brings to mind many images, but what about “Edgy Autumn”.  Now this could be very interesting.  The definition is up to you…Open to GVA members only. Any medium. Not juried. One (1) entry per person.  Work must be dry and ready to hang by wire or sawtooth hardware or to stand independently if 3D. All work must be original and not a reproduction of original art.   A form must be filled out so title cards can be printed for each piece. 15% commission to GVA on all works sold.

Intake:  Tuesday, September 30 from 2 – 6 pm   Pickup:  Tuesday, October 28 from 2 – 6 pm

November – 100 for $100 and Open Studio for Member Shows  — Art donated by GVA members and sold as a fundraiser for GVA

This is a member show of donated works, each priced at $100. All proceeds support the activities of Grand Valley Artists 501(c)3. Donation receipts are available for sold pieces. Any medium is welcome. As many entries as you want to give are welcome. All art must be original and framed and ready to be hung by wire or sawtooth hardware, able to stand on a horizontal surface if 3D or in a protective sleeve and priced by the artist for less than $100 (GVA will provide the bins for the unframed art).

Intake: Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 2 – 6 pm and Wednesday, October 29 from 10 am to 6 pm

Sale and Open House:  Saturday, November 8, from Noon – 6 pm

Members wishing to use the gallery to show their work after the 100 for $100 show is over should contact the gallery committee chaired by Jim Johnson mailto:johnsontheartist@hotmail.com

December – Holiday Show for Members only. 

All mediums are welcome. Work must be dry and ready to hang by wire or sawtooth hardware or for 3D work, stand independently. All work must be original and not a reproduction of original art. One entry per member is allowed with an entry fee of $15.  A form must be filled out and title cards will be printed for each piece. GVA asks that a modest 15% commission be paid on each piece sold.  Prizes given for top 3 works.

Intake– Tuesday, November 25, 2 -6 pm      Pick-up– Tuesday, December 30, 2-6 pm

Open House- Friday December 12 , 6 – 8 pm
